We encourage inner city and rural youth to research their own First Nation communities to see what events, programming and initiatives that are happening for youth.

> Ask yourself these questions when approaching the community:
  • What activities are there for youth to do after school?
  • What is in your community now that wasn't before?
  • What do you see as a need for youth within the community?
  • Are there people you can talk to in your community that can help you start something in your community?
  • Have you looked online for possible sources of equipment, funding & material donations?
  • Have you asked other youth if they want to help organize youth events or activities in the community.
> If you have any questions comments or concerns you can email one of our youth council members to further assist you in speaking with community workers.
